Need a dedicated circuit ran for either a 120 volt or 240 volt appliance recently purchased? Or do you have a circuit breaker tripping from time to time? If so, maybe it’s time to have a dedicated circuit or two installed. The easiest way to fix an overloaded circuit is to run a additional circuit to lighten the load of the existing circuit. Often, the outlet in your bathroom is on a common 15 amp lighting circuit rather than a 20 amp appliance circuit, and when you use a hair dryer or curling iron, it overloads the circuit. Today’s codes require bathroom outlets to be on 20 amp circuits, dedicated to just the bathroom.
Portable heaters, portable A.C. units and microwave/hoods over cooking ranges are notorious for overloading circuits. This is due to these appliances being on 15 amp lighting circuits rather than 20 amp appliance circuits. Maybe you need one more circuits in your kitchen to accommodate all of your appliances, for that circuit breaker that trips every once in a while when cooking? Or maybe you need a dedicated circuit in your garage, shed or yard for those power or landscaping tools that use a lot of wattage? If so, don’t just keep re-setting the circuit breaker when it trips, give us a call and have a dedicated circuit installed.
